Both Real and Barca live on the never-never. It's feasible for them because no Spanish/Catalan bank will ever foreclose on any outstanding debts. Banks have already written-off £200m+ of Real debt once before.

Could be interesting if UEFA brings in the rule to limit transfers and wages in line with income, outstanding debt will have to included in their calculations, knowing UEFA Barca and Real will get some special treatment.
