I've enjoyed a couple of days at Bewl.

Was bank fishing, and didn't catch a thing other than a tan.

Still fun though, will try from a boat next time.

Thanks guys,

I've seen Syon House I've been there with the family it just seem very expensive as I have very little fly fishing under my belt.

Syon house does look expensive, however because you buy a ticket to fish (£12) and the tickets for what you catch (£19+), if you blank or don't catch your limit you can carry the tickets over till next time. The water is easy although may now have weeded up again, it was cleared a few weeks back. The fish average just under 2lb and will throw themselves at anything damsel shaped.

Anther good place is Blackwool fishery in Surrey, it's just the other side of Guildford.

I seem to remember a fly fishing thread a while back there seemed to be a few fluff chuckers here, maybe we should organise a PH get together somewhere ?

Hi

I'm fine for the coarse fishing as there is a place 5 mins walk across the common from where I live.

It's fly fishing that I really want to do more of.

Cheers

haliford mere near sheperton is a nice place ,catch and release no bag limit
or hazelcopse farm just of the a281 horsham road near dunsfold ,again catch and release, there you will catch anything up to 20 fish a day, at haliford anything into the mid teens both are either £15 or £20 quid a day
a pal of mine is also a pro casting instructor and can always help you at a venue,if your just starting.
