Me and my dad (BIG Man UTD fan) were discussing (arguing) that Fergie's decision
to get rid of ronaldo and not sign tevez permantly was a big mistake,
Any thoughts?

Selling Ronaldo = perfect business sense... £80 million?! come on!

Tevez = I'd have kept him, but who am I to argue with Fergie?

Selling Ronaldo was easy for 80m but I always thought he wanted teves but not for that price. Just think it was a double bluff that backfired.

Both were replaceable anyway.

You'd be mad not to sell the Donkey for 80m and there are plenty of players who can do a decent job like Tevez.

Tevez would have and has done better elsewhere.

Ronaldo a donkey? Not according to my father, who has watched everyone from Edwards, Charlton, Best et al play, thinks Ronaldo on form is the closest he has ever seen to Best, that's no donkey

80m is very very overpriced IMO. The shirt sales and boots will pay that back to RM. While Fergie, with 80m, went shopping. So Donkey may be a bit harsh, but Fergie can find plenty more who can do the same job, probably better.

It wasn't a mistake in my eyes.

People soon forget that we only lost out on the Premiership by 1 point last season.

United is about being a team, not a bunch of individuals. Sure, it would have been great to keep Ronaldo (IMO one of the best footballers ever to play) but £80m is 'unturndownable'.

In honesty, I'd have liked to keep Tevez but there was too much fannying around and Fergie doesn't do that. He had to go in the end.
