Does anyone do fencing to keep fit?
Discussion
(Mods, I know this is a sport but seeing as the sports threads are 99% football could we leave this here please.)
I did a one hour sample lesson last week and I've never been as knackered in my life.
Does anyone do fencing (for the comedians on here it's fencing with a foil (sword) and not timber and barbed wire)to keep fit, if so what are the biggest drawbacks to the sport as I checked out the costs of the equipment and compared to most sports I've been involved in it seems a reasonably cheap way of getting fit.

ETA: The drawbacks are that there's always more, better and more expensive kit to buy. Plus, blades do wear out, wires break, masks get battered, and jackets tend to shrink, especially around the tummy area.... Gassing Station | Sports | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
