just got back from the manor and wanted to share thoughts/opinion.
Stayed for two nights three rounds Fri-sun.
Had a good time (more of a reflection of the society i belong to) as the banter was priceless.
Played the roman road on friday, and thought it was average. Very busy and noisy as roads run thru and surround it.
Second day they had cocked up our tee time (21 of us) and we were off at 3.30 !!!
So our captain had taken evasive action, and booked The Rolls of Monmouth instead....wow, what a course, its absolutely lovely, and has left me wanting to return asap.
Back to the manor and a second night on the tear, only to have a 10.0am on the Montgomery.....which whilst nice, was a bridge too far for a few of us who were up till 3am and later !!!
Off at the ninth and in for a straightener and a sarny.
Got a look at the 2010, and it looks lovely.
Summary:
1. If you are going, book the rolls of mon (25min drive) and you'll love it.....
2. The maor is nice, but realy a corporate hang out.
3. Take plenty of dough !11 a round of drinks and dinner is gonna hurt.
4. The welsh are sound and its only an hour and a half up the M4 from the M25 jct

Happy days
