Any golf pro types here abouts?!

Been approached by a very large company in the Golf world, an area I know sod all about (I discovered at 14 that my golf bag was a good place to store whisky, a golf course was a good place to drink it and actually playing golf just seemed to get in the way of that!). I am after some information about golf pros, how they work, how important club sales are etc.

Anyone here know about such things?!
