Go, and there is no time better than now, languishing at the bottom, new owners just in.
This man is losing what credibility he had very quickly indeed, clueless.

Give him till Xmas, maybe January so he can change the team in the transfer window. No good panicking just yet.

8 Points separate Liverpool and second place

It is too early to get rid of him. I think he is a great manager

He's not endearing himself to the Anfield faithful at the moment with the teams dire performances, and to think Rafa was slagged off over his team selections. At least we were in the top half of the league when he was in charge!! I'd have him back in a heartbeat over the buffoon Hodgson.

There's no more excuses now the takeovers gone through. Roy brought some players in and clearly after Blackpool last week and today, there's no team, just a bunch of individuals running about with no purpose.

This stops at the manager!

I'd give him till Xmas to show he can turn it around. If not, give januarys funds to a new guy!

He was a mistake in the first place, but right now he's what you've got. Who do you think you can attract whilst you're in this mess that could do any better with the poor team you've got? yeah, sure, I guess the 'special one' is even tonight thinking he could take your players and make them into a top 4 team.....

..... not.

The problems at Liverpool run deeper than the manager, give him 'til the January transfer window to see if he makes any big changes to the dross that Benitez bought in.

And which big, star names are going to go to a team in or near the relegation zone, with no chance of playing CL next season?

Blackburn home next followed by Bolton away. He's away record is appalling so if he fails to beat Blackburn i can see at best 2 points from the next 2 games. 8 points from the first 10 games! He'll be gone well before Xmas.

After dire early season performances my thoughts were to back the manager and give him time. We had a run of easy games to start to build some confidence and start looking like a team.

Instead of a string of wins we were dumped out of the Worthless by a 4th division team, looked clueless in draws against Sunderland and Utrecht before the ignominy of defeat at home to Blackpool.

The team looks disjointed and disheartened, there is no shape to the midfield and team selections are bizarre.

My gut instinct is now, regrettably, to say that Liverpool is a job too far for Roy, for whatever reason.

I think if things do not get majorly turned around in the next month then we'll have to let him go and let someone else spend the money in January.

Give him a season.

Houllier was given five years, as was Benitez.

Calling for his head so soon is harsh.

Please stay Roy, you are doing a fabulous job!

Yours Sincerley,
Man Utd fan!

That said, I want Liverpool to stay up. Football needs rivalrys. Thats why we also want Leeds Utd back in the Prem.

You have a sugar daddy now, players will go anywhere for the right money.

He hasn't got the fortunes of the other two. Nowhere near.

Give him til Christmas, he's a quality manager so he needs time to gel in. But I can see him getting sacked within the next 2-4 weeks if he doesn't get a result.

Unfortunately for him he has a squad of some shocking players thanks to Benitez. Aside from Gerrard, Torres and Reina (also Aquilani but he wasn't popular), Liverpools squad is pretty average imho.

I thought Hicks and Gillett were to blame?

Are you lot on to the next scapegoat already?

You've got a team full of average players (mainly brought in by Rafa) ... it's no wonder your points haul so far is average as well!

Sugar daddy, dear god, nowhere near. Mansour treats city like a toy, so did Abramovich at first but not so much nowadays, not saying he wouldnt dig deep if needed to.
We are owned by a company who havent got anywhere near the wealth of the other two, other clubs are probably richer than us still. We have to stop this rapid decline though because failure in every game is becoming a harsh reality, my old man looked at me on sunday and asked who will win, i said, without hesitation, everton. That is sad being a liverpool supporter and that was when i decided that he really isnt up to it, no fault of his, just bad timing maybe.
