Very sad news today that Andy Irons has passed away. Three times world champion and arguably one of the most dynamic surfers of the modern era. Personally, my favourite pro surfer.
Initial stories of his death being drug related now unfounded, seems to have died from issues connected to a recurrance of Dengue Fever. He once said the he surfed "because he was a better person when he came in", so true.
