PL: Bruce and Pallister? Adams and Keown?

Campbell and Toure would have to be up there for the unbeaten season at least.

Cannavaro and Nesta for the Italian national side.

Or going back a bit further Costacurta and Baresi for AC Milan.


PS - yes I'm biased, didn't have Sky as a kid so grew up watching lots of Italian football on Ch 4.

Hansen/Lawrenson & Hansen/Gillespie - I am a touch biased though.

Much as it pains me to say it, Bruce/Pallister were also very, very good. Never understood why England managers always picked Pallister only.

If we're talking EPL only then I'd go with (in no particular order).

Bruce-Pallister, Ferdinand-Vidic, Adams-Keown, Terry-Carvalho, Campbell-Toure and maybe Gallas-Desailly.
