Screened on a Saturday, the Soccer AM programme introduced last year a feature called "Georgie Thompson's Box" where film of an invited guest blindly roots around in a box for some sort of prize hidden amongst unknown lurgies.

I'm pretty relaxed about PC and feminism but to me, naming this section of Soccer AM as'Georgie Thompson's Box' was always well over the mark of decency. For those not in the know, a 'Box' is another collective name for a female's genitalia/womb/cervix. The guest searches a cardboard box, so deflecting the relative vile sexual undertones.

I didn't see last Saturday's Soccer AM but I am curious to know if re. the ensuing fallout of Andy Gray's/ Richard Keys leaving SkySports due to sexism whether Soccer AM continued with 'Georgie Thompson's Box' as a feature of their show?

Georgie actually states on www.sky.com that that she would be happy if the feature of 'Georgie's Box' ended before the start of 2011.

IMO - She's not been happy recently at SkySports due to past events but will succeed now others have departed SKY TV.

There are far more important things to worry about. If she were that offended, she would have refused to do it or resigned.

Was Georgie Thompson not on it before Xmas aswell? I'm sure she did the 'Georgie Thompsons Box' bit on that episode? Or maybe it was changed to Georgie Thompsons chest?

Gilbert - you appear to pop up with views/questions that are politically correct on quite a few threads don't you mate. IIRC the Richard Keyes/Andy Gray thread to name but one.

Are you sure you are posting on the right Forum mate. PH is full of "Men's Men" and you seem to take a bit of stick when you post these type comments.

I mean 99% of the blokes on here are not gonna quibble with a footy programme that has a section called 'Georgina's Box' or some such as a part of it. We'll all giggle and wink to each other and move on but for some reason you seem to want to come onto a blokey forum and ask for confirmation of your view that this is inappropriate behaviour.

Well I'm don't I'm afraid...just like I'm not outraged when a each week an interviewed player is asked "Which of your team mates is the longest in the shower?".

It's harmless male wink-wink type humour mate.
