Is this true?

I have a Brentford fan in my office.

The only thing I can find is:

Yep. Confirmed on the BBC. Is this the right move?

Difficult one.....

The guy that steered them to the Division 2 Championship, had a respectable finish last season and is above relegation this season.

However, according to the chap in the office (Part of the Brentford massive) Andy has made a number of bad buys this season, had a string of bad results and has seemed to be losing the plot.

With the combination of above possibly a good call to release him now.

So I asked him who would replace Scott?

My colleague replied "Roy Hodgeson is out of work and looking for a good club, I think he could do a job down here"

Lol, Some Brentford fans obviously have retained their sense of humour in times of crisis biggrin

A good call? In what respects, a few dodgy results? As you said he steered them to the L2 title, they're midtable in L1 and in the JPT area final. Can the guy - or managers in general these days - not go through a bit of a slump without automatically getting the sack?

The poor bugger's only been in the job five minutes, give him a chance. And what exactly are the Brentford board wanting? L1 midtable seems not the worst place in the world to be, and Brentford aren't exactly a former Premiership stalwart in the way, say, Charlton, Sheffield Wednesday or Southampton are.

Ridiculous decision IMO.

How is Michael Spillane playing for the Bees? A lot of Canary fans were surprised we let him leave us in the summer. Has he been any good?

I quote the Bees fan:

"The last couple of games he has been good, but it was his fault on Saturday for the first goal which was a poor excuse of a header"

I just asked him who his number one choice is now for the manager:

"Capello"

I was at that game working and Bees looked very poor. Seem to have decent enough players (Charlie MacDonald, Craig Woodman and Gary Alexander to name three) but didn't play as a team and two errors cost them the match.
