Woods fined for gobbing
Discussion
I see T Woods is being fined for spitting in the Dubai Classic. He ended up six shots off the lead after he found that he couldn't really play in the wind, on account of how it was apparently spoiling his newly-revamped swing. There's also a pic on BBC of him 'passing' his putter to his caddy, even though he was several yards away.
The word 'diddums' always seems to come to mind with this particular sportsman.

I was watching this live on Sunday - crouched over a 5 foot par putt, he grollies up about 10 feet from the hole with about 4 or 5 groups to play through behind him. I sincerely hope that he never goes on to eclipse Nicklaus' record of 18 Majors.
Let's not forget the incident in Australia where he threw his Driver over the heads of the crowd after a poor drive. Luckily it missed everyone, and a chippy Aussie handed him it back with a "Tiger, I think you dropped this mate".
I hope that with the future young pros coming through like McIlroy, who has more class at 21 than Tiger has ever had, golf won't go the way of other sports - it being unique in that competitors are often their own officials, and hold each other to a high standard of behaviour.

Just what is the point of fining a guy who receives a 7-figure appearance fee?
Golf at that level is never about money. It's about integrity, sportsmanship, and setting an example. Something that was sadly overlooked before Wood's crown broke. Part of me is sad to see what he has sunken to, but at the same time, it's nice to see fresh blood coming through.Thing is, I'd love to have seen Arnie, Palmer, or Player wave goodbye at the Open, for some reason I don't think it will be the same with Woods. He was a hero of mine, but not any more.

tty thing to do, I'd be pissed off if I saw a player gobbing on the green.
