What a random thing to have/happen at Craven Cottage. Quite bonkers.

I walked past this the yesterday. It's bloody horrible and only looks a little bit like MJ - Fulham fans (which I'm not) will cringe with embarrassment every time they walk past it, it's ridiculous. Whether it should be there or not is a different matter though - Al Fayed paid with his own money for the club and is the sole owner, so IMO the prat can do what he wants.

I have not followed this story with great interest, to be honest, but could one possible motivation be to get Wacko Jacko fans to come and watch Fulham play football?
And he did have quite a large fanbase, old Wacko Jacko, if memory serves me well.
I'm not to sure about that, we sell out virtually every game at home now. Could just be Al-Fayed is losing even more marbles than before! And he did have quite a large fanbase, old Wacko Jacko, if memory serves me well.

Then he had an idea...
Personally, I'd have sent it to our lads in Afghanistan for target practice...it's worse than the Wing'd Horse of Chavtat, and not much else is.

Putting the MJ statue to one side, what has Al-Fayed been like as Fulham owner? Are most fans happy with his reign?
He's been very good tbh, he's subsidised ticket prices, bought players and coaching staff in on big, sometimes unjustified, wages and kept us in a relatively in the black in regards to finances. He's also not come in and tried to make a fast buck out of the club and fans unlike Glazer at Man Utd and Shinawatra when he was at Man City, he's also not as crazy as fat Mike Ashley at Newcastle!
