The sports you actually DO thread...
Discussion
Watching sport isn't actually sport. It's watching the telly.
How about a sports you DO thread - be it footie games you play in (far more interesting than how well Arsenal did in 2003, etc, etc), martial arts you do, running (already well covered), watersports (the clean kind), skiing, motorsports you compete in, whatever.
I watch virtually no sport at all but DO running, MTBing, lots of surfing, weights, used to compete a bit in kickboxing and other stuff. Very little interest in watching sport.
I may be in the extreme minority but any else of a similar mindset?! If you are, here's the place to be unless in the threads that are already here for those that DO the sport like the running one.

Ive played saturday/sunday league footie since I was 8, looking for a team in the west cheshire league at the moment.
I do alot of mountain biking the moment, either down in bristol or in wales.
I try to go surfing, but don't get to go that often living in ellesmere port/bristol.
Looking at buying a car to modify so that it can race in stock hatch, just need to save some money first...

I played rugby league for 9 years but now play weekend footy. I am 32 now and I went my entire 20's without so much as a niggle but it is getting harder to bounce back. Doesnt help that the pitches we play on are rough as guts after summer. (Sydney)
This is after a rather decent slide tackle a week ago. I had to play on Sunday with it wrapped up with bandages and cut down beer coasters.

I play rugby (probably obvious from my username
), have done for about 7 years now (I'm 18). It's the only sport I've ever really been interested in, or been any good at. It's horrible playing this time of year though because the ground is so hard. I'm covered in cuts from saturday's game, it would've been softer to play on the car park! Only a couples of games left in the season now though, then I'll be playing in a touch rugby tournament through the summer just to keep my fitness up.

Would love to ... rock climb.
Given your proximity to real rock, you ought to get this done yesterday!http://www.scottishclimbs.com/wiki/Main_Page
Interesting stuff!
Dmul - ouch! Picked up a fair few knocks and slices from MTBing and surfing (fin sliced my entire upper lip to my nose once, dislocated shoulder many times in biggish waves) and had a few serious batterings kickboxing but somehow never broken anything.
Anyone do triathlons? Done a couple - one all off road/in the sea, one with a sea swim then road ride and run - really enjoyed both in a "complete f**king knackered" kind of way. Do a few 10k trail running races too - again "fun" but completely exhausting.
Bit of waterskiing too - wife used to be an instructor and we have a wee boat that is just enough to tow a mono-er.
Quite keen on starting rock climbing - a mate is an instructor. Would love to try rallying but there's nowhere around here. Do a bit of greenlaning but that's not really sport.

How good depends on how many pints I've consumed..
The OP said sports, not hobbies. How good depends on how many pints I've consumed..
Anyway, I play for league teams. So, not just a knock about down the pub. Well, not always!
I run a bit
and have dabbled in road and offroad cycling and rock-climbing.
For me, sport = something where it is of large benefit to be physically fit, not just very skillful; game = something where physical fitness has very little bearing on the outcome compared to the skill levels.
