England cricket 2023 & 2024
Discussion
Part of me wants to know when the last time we started a tour with a decent performance.
But most of me just can't be arsed.
I don't actually mind watching them lose, but watching the same old thing over and over is just not something I want to do.
Add that to the fact that "back in the day" the Antigua test was one of THE events and that's me out of this series already.

Perhaps it's just me but there seems to be a lack of atmosphere at the game? Perhaps it's the fact that the ground is less than half full and there's no Barmy Army or maybe it's because I've got used to the way Sky present cricket with Bumble and co adding an element of fun but this all seems very dry.

No Sky TV coverage and no TMS radio coverage of these tests. FFS
I cancelled my Sky Cricket subscription because I got fed up with them never showing any of the matches or series I was interested in. TMS have been flakey for ages now, at least we get the live feed. I suspect developing a new and watertight top order is going to be a long and slow process. Middle order doing alright thus far though.

It really pisses me off when sports split themselves over multiple providers like this. I know they say they do it to promote competition and avoid monopolies, but as a paying customer it just feels like a con to get you to subscribe to every service rather than just one.
didnt the EU start it by insisting Sky couldnt have all the chumps league, thereby forcing you to buy Sky AND BT to get complete coverage?Signed up to Talkste this morning anyway and can listen without charge, hurray.
Now lets see (hear) what Overton can do...
edit: Oh

Nice to get past 300 for a change, rather than be heading in on our customary 120 odd all out.
Bairstow's incompetence denies Jack Leach another big score...
i think 350 is par but we'll see...both sides have batted...blah...Bairstow's incompetence denies Jack Leach another big score...
