New to this site, but glad to find it.
I am the proud owner of a 2004 (and thus one of the last 35 Esprits) silver GT. What a machine. It literally stops traffic. I had someone pull up next to me and the passenger pulled out a video camera and began filming the car from all angles. What a hoot. Luv it.

Welcome, Ahh the joys and sometimes pains of Lotus ownership

On this note I did my bit for the community yesterday by making some guy and his sons day by letting them sit in the car. Was the highlight of his bank holiday weekend.

Welcome. I had a similar experience the other day. Had to pick a cataloge order for the wife, so naturally a good excuse for a weeknight blast, and when I came back out to my car there stood a man and his video camera frantically trying to get shots of the car from every angle(he even layed on the ground to get video under the car). His wife and child sat patiently in his car while he asked me every concievable question about the car. Thought he would kiss me when I let him look inside the car. Another satisfied spectator.
Anyhow, glad your having fun. Best cars in the world.

Congrats Titus. I am also the proud owner of a silver beauty.(1999) I very nearly comitted a horrible sin however. I nearly sold her a couple of weeks ago!! I posted on here and listed her in a couple of places and had some very generous offers. Thank god I came to my senses.

This happened today really. My wife and I drove the 94S4 (black w/tan interior) to church this morning.
Well, after services I come out and I am looking around for my wife and I see her and one of the older female members of our church down at the car. well, she was just bonkers over it, couldn't stop looking and smiling and asking questions. Really made her day, and i must say mine. i do love sharing such a wonderful piece of art and machinery with others.

I was asked a few weeks back to loan my car to sit outside a Summer Ball event at my workplace as the theme was 'James Bond'. 3 hours for a crate of Stella, no problem! They only managed a silver BMW Z3 (not quite a Z8 but hey) and my red S4, either side of the red carpet at the entrance. The thought was there though. Anyway it attracted a lot of attention and I took one of the more senior chaps wives out on a quick black which she enjoyed...
