Esprit at Le Mans
Discussion
Hi matey,
well assuming that my Sport 350 (#19) is back from a few repairs at Lotus before Thursday then I'll be there in mine this weekend.
Ferry from Poole to St Malo at 13:55, down to Le Mans via Rienne aiming to be there midday ish on Friday.
Heading back up late Monday. Think the yahoo UK forum mentioned meeting up just inside the main entrance, on the right at about 10pm on Sat. I'm aiming to try and be there for that to meet anyone.
Here's hoping the good weather holds....

Made it back from Le Mans - what a blast, the event is superb (love the Indianapolis corners at night) and the drive there and back was suitably spirited.
Esprit spots -
1/ Black S4;
2/ A classy black V8 with appropriate licence;
3/ Custom green '89 SE (which I think may be 'Unity1'); and
4/ Yellow GT3 which had been "raced up".
Martin,
'95 S4s.

I agree Le Mans was great. Real pleased to see the Morgan make it to the end and both TVR's. Got very used to working out some of the more distinctive car sounds by the end of the race. Insanely loud rumble of the corvettes, the Morgan that reminded me of the noise the bad guy's pod racer made in the Star Wars film, the almost silent diesel powered wagon.
Highlight for me also being some of the night racing, seeing a pair of 550 Maranello's really going for it through the complex after the start straight, brake discs glowing. Great stuff.
Met some insane French people and think next year I need to arrange for a mate with a transit to follow us down as a 'support' vehicle full of a lot more beer and food.
Sorry to have missed the 10pm meet up, but look forward to seeing any photos that get posted.

P.S. Electrical problem I had seems to have gone (for now). Engine check tell tale has replaced the ABS/battery lights, checked battery and voltage levels and if anything was high rather than low. Will wait and see what the fault code says. Cheers Dr Hess for the help though.
