For those of you in the USA, what are your insurance rates like? What is your age too? Do the V8 models have a much higher rate than the 4cyl turbo models? Just interested in seeing what you guys are paying.

It only makes sense if you know the driver's record, discounts, and coverages, so here goes:

I pay $2000/yr for just my S4 with:

500K CSL: Liability and Uninsured Motorist
50K: Medical payments
1000 deductible on my comp. and collision
$39,000 Stated value
Home owner, multi vehicle and paid in full discount.

I'm about to be 28, in Atlanta, and I have one ticket on my record, a 92 in a 55 plus, a few claims (not my fault) a few years back. It’s about to jump by 33% though cos I had an accident (in my other car) which was my fault.

Luke.

I live in Atlanta too. Well, for most of the year. I'm a senior at Georgia Tech. I'm really really wanting to get an esprit a few months after i graduate. Being single, and living in an apartment, I know i would be able to afford the car, but I'm not sure about the insurance. 22 year old, single, renting, primary car...that probably won't look too good.

I'd love to see your S4 some day. I go to Lotus of Atlanta and Lotus Cars USA about twice a month just to stare at and touch the cars. But I have never sat in a car, let alone ridden in one.

I drive a '65 shelby mustang clone, white with blue stripes. I'm the only one in georgia daily driving a car like mine, so if you see one on the street its me.

Will you be making any appearances soon in the car? I work at Audi of Atlanta during the summer (off of peachtree industrial), so if you're ever in the area, i'd love to meet you. Heck, i'll even drive over your direction to meet you one day if you have a chance.

WOW!!! That is some high rates!

My Esprit is not my primary car, but I have agreed to put less than 7500 per year on it (I can up this but I do not have a need) with Leyland West...

I am...
33
Married
Clean driver's record

I pay a wopping $347.26 per year for total coverage (comp/liability/collision). The numbers match my coverages for my RX-7 and MX-5 from Alfa (50,000.00, 100,000.00 and, 100,000.00 with Zero deductable on glass).

As stated, however, this is not my primary car.

Drive topless!!!
