ill be ready for some rear tyres for my v8 soon.
the fronts are nearly new toyo proxes do you think i should match them or are there better alternatives?
also ive noticed some owners have gone to 295 instead of 285,any real difference or just for looks?
what about the gearing with the slight increase in profile?(35% of 295 as opposed to 35% of 285) cheers.

Proxes are a good tyre and also they come in sizes for the v8 fronts and rears so you can match. Other options are michelin, pzero, goodyear eagle gsd3, yokohama avs and dunlop (factory tyre).
LEW has a deal for extra discount from mytyres.net (who were the cheapest even before the discount last time i bought boots).
I've got 295 on the rear instead of the 285. No real difference either in ride height or handling (they are only 10mm difference - you'd have to be M Shumacher to notice this
) The only benefit in going for the wider rears is that they protect the rim a little bit more than the 285's do which is well worth the extra fiver or whatever the cost difference is.
cheers
