Fitting the roof in the boot!

Hi - just been out for a run in our new V8 and it was such a nice evening that we took the top off. We assumed it would fit in the boot - but couldn't get it in. Am I doing something wrong???? How does it fit in?

i can barely do it myself,,, there is only one way that it goes in... now i even forget what way, i think it is pained side down, latches rearward..then left side first...

can anybody send a reminder

one corner in first, then swivel its covered in the owners manual..

Does take a bit of getting use to, but once mastered no problem, I have just fitted a carbon fibre roof, a little bit lighter than a glass one but still makes a big difference

I had the same problem with my V8 also - seems to be less space than with the GT3.

I'll also try again.

For those of you who have glass roofs and are afraid to break it, I do carbon fibre replacement roofs which can take a bit of knocking around. Take a look on

It also has other benefits like blocking out heat from the sun, privicy, slight weight saving etc etc.
