Hi All Piston Heads

I am trying to trace the owner of the Silver Lotus 350 sport Reg S964 SCL. I use to own this car, in fact i purchased it from Kings, with lotus factory on the log book. I owned the car for a couple of years, until due to bad personal reasosn i had to let it go. Well they say things get better and they do, so i am trying to find my old car and buy it back.

Anyone who can help i would be so gratefull and in fact owe you a drink or drive of it..

Thanks in Advance..

That reg is very familiar but I can't place it now.

Rob C will probably know (rob.c.lotus@ntlworld.com) as he is compiling the Sport 350 register of owners.

Yes it was the press car used in Evo, top gear etc. Including being driven at high speed on the site..

The car was 7months old when i purchased it from Kings of Warwick. Sadly I had a unfortunate finance problem, where i had to sell the lotus as well as the ferraris etc. But Lotus was my favorite car,and i had done 20k in it around Europe and have many a story to tell, so it has a soft spot with me...

You might want to post on www.seloc.org, seems to be the most popular/busy Lotus forum.

I looked at buying this car about 2 years ago. It was for sale at a local garage nr leamington. The guy selling it knew nothing about esprits Looked a little tatty but not too bad given its history.

It popped up several times on autotrader around this time too - i guess it was passed about a little in the trade.

Decided to keep my V8-GT and get some mag wheels and AP brakes..

Yes, he purchased the car, from a random car auction in Northampton for quite a cheap price...

I also saw it in Autotrader a lot, but now it seems to have vanished...

I was in a similar predicament to you a couple of years ago and my advice would be don't go back!

I sold my V8 GT in 2000 after around 20k miles in two fun filled years (and a couple of minor warranty claims...) and it was snapped up by someone who was moving up from an Elise.
He should have stuck with the Liz, though. He couldn't park it, didn't like the gearchange, moaned because the battery went duff (this would mean that the alarm would sound at 2AM!!), and generally begrudged spending money on it.
I saw it when he had it up for sale and it nearly broke my heart. Kurbed wheels, stonechips, worn seats, leaky gearbox...sigh

It was so beautiful when I owned it (first brand new car I've ever bought) but to see it looking so worn was gut wrenching.

I hope you find her though, even if only to find the owner won't sell (probable) - but is looking after her.
I was lucky enough to sell my last esprit to a list member who is doing all the jobs i never got round to, and has made the car a better example and all his own.
She's in safe hands

Hope your old S350 turns out to be too.

Mustard - sorry to be pedantic, but that's a 2002 rear light conversion. The 2001 cars still had Toyota lights

Thats ex James Wiseman isn't it?

I nearly bought this car last month. It's up near York. The garage was going to give me £9.5K for my Vectra against it. This would mean that I would have to use it as a daily car.
I decided to buy the S4s, keep my Vectra 3.2 Elite as a daily driver and still have over £2k change.

Cheers,

Dave Walters
