How to buy TAF-X gearbox oil! (UK)

Ever had trouble getting the only recommended gearbox oil for the Renault box (Castrol TAF-X)?
I went to Halfords and asked them to order me some. Minimum order is 3 litres - perfect. Ask for Item 990218 Speciality Oils at £6.49 per 0.5l bottle (incl VAT), pay in advance and wait a couple of days for it to arrive. Job done.

Point is I just happened to strike lucky in that I found the one employee who knew how to do this - even the manager denied it was possible!

Yea, my brother has a service / repair centre and could not get it from any of his normal suppliers in the Manchester area. I got 3.5 ltr from SJ Sportscars in the end. I can't remember the price now though...

I went to a local motor factor and ordered through these guys, I think the price was about the same but the bonus was that these guys know what they are talking about. I get the impression that people forget theses guys exist and tend to be drawn towards the halfwits and other motor accessory retailers.
