Dear All,
I have never posted on this forum before as I am a TVR owner. However,I have been given the job of sorting out my business partners Esprit S3 Turbo which ran very badly.
Just a quick bit of history, the car is a black S3 with a magnolia interior and has only 3000 miles from new!! Needless to say it is absolutely mint.It had been stored in a heated garage from new for 10 years and the condition is pristine.Even the seats are like new, they haven't had a chance to get dirty even.
Thats the good bit.Unfortunately if you leave a vehicle untouched for a long time (even in a perfect environment)it will show some tell tale signs of storage.
I have taken a great deal of the engine apart, refurbed, repainted, upgraded or replaced a considerable amount of bits, serviced it etc. Also all the fasteners have been replaced with stainless items, along with a set of tyres.
Result is a beautiful example of the mark.Just have to fit a pax window motor assembly and its about finished apart from regassing the aircon and balancing the carbs.
I wanted to buy an alloy or prettier oil filler cap similar to the one I have on my Griffith (see profile for pics)but I have no experience in pretty Lotus bits, wondered if any one might be able to help.
It was his birthday yesterday, and it would just finish it off. Will take some shots if any one wants to see it

Yep, I'd like to see some pics.
What year is the car?
Sounds like a cautionary tale. 3000 miles and everything's knackered through lack of use.
My '87 was bad enough when I bought her with 21,600 miles. She's now used regularly and feels better for it.
Black with Magnolia.... Yum....
Cheers
Pat.
