Can someone confirm that the rotors are teh FRONT rotors on an 84 Renault Le Car? Saw that somewhere, and wanted to make sure before I went and bought a set.

Lotus wants $205 EACH for the rears by the way.

No! I can't confirm... I had a few places try to match them in the UK with no luck... I'd be very interested to find out also!

Can't answer your question, but I do know of a somewhat cheaper source for rotors. Dave Bean sold me some rotors a while back for ~$170. Still too high in my opinion but I needed them quickly.

Jeff, if those rears don't work give them back to me and I'll sell them on Ebay whince they came. They look right, but I am worried about the thickness. I'll give you cash for the rear pucks, don't hold on to the rotors if they won't work, someone can use them.

I ordered mine from JAE for $160 a piece. I was told there was no alternative. Kinda stinks. If anyone is interested, I still have my old rear rotors which need to be resurfaced. I couldn't tell you if they are still in spec though.

They are off of something. Lotus didn't make brake rotors, they are too small. Besides, it'd wouldn't fit with CH's parts bin mentality. We just need to find what they are off of, some European car for sure.

I've heard the Renault 5 pads though they are the same basic pad, don't have the locating tab to prevent your pistons from rotating. Not a good idea IMO.

Ron,they were actually the front rotors, not the rears. I just put them on the front as my fronts weren't looking so hot.

Looks like I'll get the rears from JAE.

Dern!! I'll re-check the auction that I got those from and see what it said. I was certain it was rear rotors, so they fit on the front?

Yep. I suspected when I saw they were vented that they were the fronts - fronts are vented on teh car, rears are not.

Again, no problem. The fronts were looking pretty ratty anyway. I just can't believe the rears are $170 a piece best price. Yikes.
