charley was supposed to hit us here in tampa so i gave the red rocket its first extended drive since i've had it(about 130mi), to flee to Orlando. Parked it safe in my buddie's garage next to his red R1 and thought we would relax--wrong! freakin storm followed me! no damage to my house or serious damage to his. car drove there and back with narry a problem. didnt like that stop and go traffic on the interstate though, i better check the fans and radiator.

GRID LOCK: N/ any time more than 1 American attempts to drive down a straight unobstucted highway.

Glad your well. I have friends that way that did the same thing. I told them to go to Miami or come here (Mobile)... They rode out the storm in a garage at Disney as we have friends that work there...

Am glad you guys are o.k, been watching on the news. The coast of Florida got a thrashing, roofs ripped off and four people as of yesterday dead
Hope Ernest, Karl and others have missed it too.

Keep safe,

Just digging out...

The eye of the storm passed directly over my house (Oviedo). Total damage = 1 palm tree and a small piece of trim from the roof...

...The Esprit remains in Clearwater as it was in for service...

Cheers

Am glad you and your families are o.k Ernest, hadn't seen any replys from you so I had that dreaded feeling that you were amongst it all. Well at least your here to tell us that you had survived the eye of the storm, that's amazing and am sure one never wants to repeat nor forget.
Keep your chin up
