1992 glove box lock

I have a 1992 J reg Esprit turbo which unfortunately has a broken glove box lock. The lock is of the cylindrical cromed metal key lockable type. I have tried the Lotus factory and all of the dealers/independents that I can find and no one has a replacement, nor do they know if they will ever get one in stock. I have been told that it was possibly sourced from Mazda originally! Is this true? Does anyone know who made/supplied them and where I can get hold of one?

I got a new lock for my 89 SE from SJ last year - no problems.

What I do know is that it's the same as was fitted to the cubby box in early 4 door Range Rovers (1981 to about 84). Might be able to get one from Land Rover?
