Hello,
yesterday,we've checked my Aircondition compressor. It seems to be ok.So we think that maybe the expansion valve doesn't work anymore.
Does somebody know how to remove the valve?

Thx

Have you put a set of guages on the system?

No,because it's difficult to find someone who's checking AC's filled with R12.
Do you got any idea?

Hi,

You could get an R-12 A/C manifold (A/C Parlance for gauge set) on eBay. These are fairly plentiful and going pretty cheap.

Also, once set-up with the manifold, you can easily become CFC certified for under $20 online and be licenced to purchase R-12 directly. I've done this and it's really a snap, now I can do all my own work.

Hey Jim,

If I recall, RB is out in the EU somewhere, .DE?

Not to change the subject, but ball-park, how long does it take to pull an exhaust manifold in-situ? 89 non-SE. Any tricks?

Is the system on the Esprit like a heat pump ie reversible to provide heating or cooling or cooling only.

I work as a refrigeration engineer but haven't done cars. Heat pumps, coolstores etc.
