Looking through the manual here.....

Talks about turning off the ignition
Disconnnect neg battery
beneath passenger fascia. Locate two SIR fuses
withdraw Inboard fuse and 15A 'run' fuse (outboard is 5A)
Unplug orange 3 way connector and yellow 2 way connector. Apparently this has a tab on the side that needs to be released plus a release tab of some sort.

#25 torx screws (four of them) on the back of the wheel hold the inflator module. When it loosens there is another connector that needs undone before it can be put to rest.

I got this from Page 16 of the WC.3 SIR service notes. It says stuff like not to treat this thing as a hackeysack and hold the business end away from you.

For the wheel....

Inflator module gone bye

Disconnect horn buttons connector block
Front wheels ahead; 19mm socket takes off the retaining nut.Remove flat washer. Mark steering wheel position relative to column to aid refitting.

Pull wheel gently off. You may need to pull up and lightly tap on the inner column with a copper mallet. You neeed to use minimal force or you'll damage the telescoping column.

This info came from the same book pages 19 and 20. If you need a few pages sent let me know. There are some basic diagrams as to fitment of things but nothing spectacular. Just lots and lots of caution about the little white tablecloth hiding under the lotus logo.

Good luck
