Well, I'm looking into good shops that can repair speedos here in the states (and do it quiker than three months!). Mine stopped all together the last time I was home. Pulled out of the dash and it is the speedo and not the cable... Any suggestions based on good experiences would be welcome...

Thank you!

How did you confirm it was the speedo? In the Citroen-Esprits, it's not uncommon for the inner cable to be a little short. Enough that it can slide back in the sheath far enough to disengage the speedo.

If you get the car up to a pretty brisk rate of knots and then nail the brakes, does the speedo suddenly work for a couple of seconds while the car is under heavy deceleration. If so, the problem is just the inner cable moving back.

The easy fix is to disconnect the back end of the cable. Find a piece of heavy wire (wire clothes hangar) that's a close fit into the drives square socket. Cut a piece about 5/16 long, smooth the ends, and drop it down into the drive socket. Re-install the cable.
