1997 esprit gt3 with low rev acceleration fault

hi guys/gals
ive got an esprit which when i pull away it hesitates and judders as if it is being starved
of air or fuel. in any gear but only at very low revs. say between
1500rpm and 2000rpm
anyone have any ideas?

The GT3 has the accelleration of a North Sea ferry under 3000 revs anyway. Is this fault over and above this? Have you tried resetting the ECU? Someone nearby may be able to plug freescan in, sorry I'm not very techy.
