Re-upholstering an Esprit

More than anything I'm just curious, but I know a few folks have had their Esprits completely re-upholstered.

I was just wondering, where to have it done, and how much would it cost?

Speak to Mel Broome at Lotus Aftersales in Hethel, his direct line is 01953 608153 if you are calling from the UK. He will advise you on what can be done. A complete retrim costs about £3K but you will need to go through the Lotus service centre or a UK dealer.

I have just had some samples sent to me by Mel via Bell and Colville. It can be done cheaper by third parties but you probably won't get the same detailing (Lotus embossed on headrest etc....). Most specialists in the UK can advise accordingly.

If you are planing on doing it yourself you just missed out on the bits and pieces sale at LUSA.

Complete interiors went real cheap some less than 1000 USD. Only a few incomplete pieces remain for G cars and pre 90 models. Tony K. from California got the last complete tan interior and his car looks brand new now.
