What is it worth??

I wanted some opinions on what a 2000V8 with 26K miles would be worth in the States (assuming in great order and all service records)?

I'm doing some serious contemplation on selling and saving for the new Esprit in 2005(or whatever else Lotus brings out in that year...assuming it's great). This way I could purchase the car in full and if there is no new Esprit like car, I could purchase the V8 for less and also paid in full in 2005.... just some thoughts..

Well, if you have a nice 2000MY V8, why sell it? In any case, here's a link to ebaymotors. A 2000 V8 marked as "buy now" for $54.5K. Nobody has bought it yet... we'll see.

Well... I'm still contemplating the decision. I am entered in a large Central California concourse in May so it would have to be after that. I am finding less and less time to drive it and dealerships are getting further and further away.... I've been screwed by two local (non-lotus) mechanics during my Lotus experience and the nearest good mechanic is 3hours away. We'll see.... Maybe the I'll get a change of heart on the decision in the summer
