Good old Kiwi gal I am....Hey shackle dragger....your right we are all imports, ex convicts you name it . I live in Auckland, but originally from Timaru in the South Island, perfect esprit country down there too, its sooooo lovely I want to move back when I become a full-time artist. Not yet though.

My man's mum lives in Cairn's so we go over there for a week in winter. You have to be nuts to go in summer, way too hot. And we also have family in surfers paradise. So got it sussed for holiday's. I suppose your from Brisbane?, or "brissi mate"

Keep in touch

Ahh so thats where "POMOZ" comes from. I quite often look at peoples user names and wonder what half of them stand for.

Graeme, I moved up to Auckland for a job transfer within Goodman Fielder, so worked at Bluebird in Auckland and since then moved on. I actually followed an old boyfriend so he thought it was a good idea at the time and was easy for me to get another good job. The family always give me stick everytime I talk or see them and want to know when I am comming home, so you never know. We are flying down this weekend to catch-up and celebrate my birthday soon. So have hired an Audi TT Roadster from Christchurch and travelling down. I heard the leather seats have heaters in them, so was sold on that . Been looking at the temps and its getting cold down there eh. Are you part of the Lotus club down there?

Heated seats, you must be getting soft.
I'll just be happy actually getting the heater to work.
Some of the Lotus club guys called into see us in Feb. (Queenstown) for some mountain biking. Must get up to Christchurch for one of their events.(I'm also in the CHCH FIAT/LANCIA club) although I normally reside in Dunedin.
Still no frosts here yet but its getting pretty icy up Queenstown. (what are Esprits like on snow?)

Yeah must be getting used to the more humid climate eh!

The club up here is really nice and welcoming. They really couldn't do enough for me.

I seen a pic of a older model esprit somewhere on the net with skis mounted to the back of the car. Looked awesome. I guess being rear wheel drive, they would fly up the mountain, if you can handle stone chips and a bumpy ride. Wouldn't like to be in one coming down the hill though, bit dodgy huh.
My local ski stomping ground was Mt Dobson and used to take all sorts of cars up, old VW's, Toranas, falcon 500 station wagon. Good old days. Now we get spoilt using a 4wd Subaru SW, bit more practical. (boring) I think now... half the fun was wondering if we were going to make it the mountain in one peice. Or how far we could go without putting chains on and skidding all over the road.
We were staying in Franktown for a few nights last new years, are you near there or right in the township end?

I think 007 took one skiing, but he probably had studded tyres. Also I think the stones would play hell with the paintwork. Will stick to the Landy.
Have to watch out for Aussie drivers in rental cars who have never driven on ice before . Chains fitted to the wrong end, most work this out quickly but one clown was stuggling up the mountain with his front wheels spinning and chains on the back Chains popping off (not tensioned) Adds to the entertainment.
The Queenstown residence is near the Coronet ski field turnoff, between Queenstown and Arrowtown.
Looks like the fields got a good dose of snow last night. Actually my favourite field is Craigieburn. Awesome club field in Arthurs pass.

I seen some asian drivers drive up Mt Hutt with untensioned chains flapping around on their rental. They pulled over 3/4 of way up and all the paint on the wheel arches were scratched and stuffed. You would think they could hear it. We did.
Doing some art work for my exhibition next month which includes Coronet Peak Road. Near your residence. Gosh we have great scenery!!!
