Lease Programs Lotus
Discussion
I am thinking of leasing a lotus v8(my first one). I have been pushed away from buying/leasing one due to the small number of banks that want to do anything with Lotus (hell my bank doesn't eve have Lotus listed as a car in their chart). After going through this process for a few years and settling for Porsches. I want my long time dream of owning lotus come true. If anyone knows of any banks/lease companies in US that work with lotus cars, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I want to lease so I have the option of getting rid of the car if I have a hard time reselling it. BTW, is it hard to sell Lotuses? is the market really soft for these cars? Thanks...MA

While at Palm Beach Motor cars a week ago (having some work done on mine) there was a 2000 V8 in metallic yellow on the pre-owned lot that they pulled into the showroom. Had less than 8000 miles on it. Maybe they do leasing.... I don't know. You could always call them and ask.... 561-659-6206.

2000 V8
PS - they may have some other Lotus inventory as well.

He wants to lease the car though.
Me, I have mine financed through Peoplefirst, and they are fantastic.
If I were you, I'd buy, not lease. If the car is in good shape you'll be able to sell it.
don l. has a lease purchase program were you get low payments and a balloon that you can pay cash at the end or refi. but remember not to budget yourself tight with this car, you will need extr$ for maintenance and upgrades. I figure about 150-500 month for maint and upgrades plus insurance so dont strecth too thin with financing....
Thanks!!! I couldn't stop about the fact you mentioned I would be spending up to $500 a month on maint. of this car...does this car have so much problems. I had heard it was virtually a trouble free car. Please tell me a little more about it. If I am gonna spend over 1200 a month on car (including maint & payments) I would just get the 996 twin turbo.
i say 150 - 500 because i like to have my car well kept including at least 1 detail a month oil change every 3 mos or more and consistent upgrading. like brakes, hoses, stereo stuff, cosmetics etc.
If you detail your car yourself ,and find a good local lotus guy you could get away with just the fluid and filter changes and annual brake pads for under 50$ a month. If you have a major done add some more. Its really about your car. If its well sorted and well maintained you will not sufer. Consider even a like price ferrari (348) and the car is downright cheap to maintain. Porsche arent rare or exotic cars so i wouldnt put em on the same page as lotus...screw the 996 thats a bubbymobile..imo : )
