Sold the ESPRIT SE- now have S2 ELISE 111s (Black)

Hey all, for those that remember I used to post reasonably frequently on my repairs and upgrades to my 89 SE, having recently married it was commented by my father in law that the amount of time I spent delving in the engine bay and under the esprit, I loved the car more than his daughter! soo.... I went and purchased a more reliable lotus (??!!??)

Habve to say the elise is amazing in the chicanes..

Different type of car but it is still a Lotus and fun. Goes more back to the root of Lotus, a lighter nimble car with a low to mid range than an Esprit. I would not mind it at all but I would miss the mid to high range of the Esprit. The Esprit is more of a GT car, heavier and more powerfull in those ranges.

is it like a miata? Im in usa we dont gt elise here yet. Seems like a trick miata type thing vs. world class supercar of the esprit. It looks cool though and what a bargain price! Let us know how they compare...

It is a mid engine car, very spartan in nature by many car standards. Non USA cars have no A/C and a general lack of leather and carpets. Instruments are ver basic. Drive much like a Europa with a little more power that the Europa lacked.
