Hi there.I sat in a V8 Esprit a while ago and was shocked to find it really really tiny inside. Now I know some of you guys just boltet the seat to the floor...now the question is: does that really help a lot for my size...6"2....1.88m. That's the only major concern I have and it really calmed my enthusiasm for this car.Is anybody from this forum my size (or bigger) and if yes, how's your impression with the inside fit. My knees were touching the steering column which made for hard shifting....any info would be great. Hope to refind my passion for this car again. Indy

I'm 6'2" and I have an 88 Turbo.

You don't sit in this car at our size, you wear it!

Get in it and drive it, it won't matter anymore!

im 6'3". The car i very comfortable but it is tight around the thighs. After a few runs getting in out became second nature. Like other big guys have mentioned you wear it more than sit on it(the seat)

Hi there, Someone else asked this question only a couple of weeks ago, so do a quick search which covers everything.
Iam 6'-3" and 16 stone. I found it a little difficult for the first few days and now I love it. I also have back problems that affects my left side which sometimes make me immobile but I still love driving my Esprit.
Iam in the process of buying some lookalike 300 sport seats which are a fraction of the Lotus ones. They are grp shells (carbon optional), choice of virtually any colour of cloth (that's the down side) and you can have your own logo or name put ont he head rests at no extra cost. I will be ordering in the next few weeks in tan to match my interior with black base to match my carpets.
If you've sat in a V8 then I can see why as these have the largest seats. There is a GT version and also you may want to either look at a GT3 or 350Sport or buy sport seats.
Have a look at the other cheaper options you have of modding your seats.
Here's a pic of the seat Iam buying, ignore the colour sceme. It's there to show people the different panelling.
