Hi,
Anyone know how to adjust the handbrake for a 91SE? I've gotten access to the hollow bolts (with nuts) which the cables go thru under the carpetting. But, I'm not sure which direction to adjust the hollow bolt for tighter or looser. I need to loosen the right rear cable so it matches the left rear. (I think). After a run without using the pedal brakes much, I noticed the right rear rotar was much warmer than the left rear. Service manual is of little help with the details.
Thanks!

When adjusting the bolts inside the "sill" take vare to get the "triangle"-plate symetrical in reference to the cables when the brage handle is engaged. When the brake is not engaged there should be NO tension on the cables.

Hi,

As mentioned, be sure to get the cables such that the triangle produced is symetrical. However, from what you describe, be sure to check the mechanism on the calipers as it sounds as if one is sticking slightly and not releasing fully. Happy Motoring! Jim'85TE
