Paul,

Your work wheels was'nt that police car we passed on our way out of Brize last night !

We are a subgroup of the Yahoo Egroup who are based around Oxford (Oxlot). The details were posted on that site last week. There are about 10-15 Esprits in and around Oxford that we know about.

http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/UKLotusEsprit

We are going to try and plan to meet once a month for a short drive and chat.

Cloudy? yeah, raining? Not at that point. Near dark? Well, early evening but still very light. Pretty good conditions for a quick squirt up that straight before the bend when we passed the police astra near Brize. All told a good little run I thought. Real lucky with the weather with it only raining right at the end, good choice of roads mostly unpopulated (or only lightly so) with traffic/junctions/houses/animals/people and a bit of dual carriageway to listen to Dermot’s exhaust on.

Rob wins the prize for the biggest fly graveyard I’d ever seen, and Dermot for having the cleanest Esprit ever.

Nice to meet all you guys.

Andy

Lets face it a densil black smoker police astra wouldnt catch a cold they are so slow!
Would be good to go to one of your meetings to see what its all about.
I'll have to wait for this months wages to go into the bank then i can get my new clutch and them get the engine and gearbox into the chassis cradle.

I should hopefully get the Esprit on the road for christmas, or maybe early spring next year.

Let Paul or myself know where and when you meet and im sure we'll have a run out to find you, the Bucks, Berks & Oxon Club Lotus meeting at Bourne End is just to far to travel, but a meeting nearer would suit us both.
Yours T.
