I seen this a while ago. Though it may not be based on Colins ideal philosophy, it does show the Esprit can be a contendor in other races other than track.

It's a shame it's not got a Lotus engine in it don't you think? I was involved with the building of a S300 engine for a drag racer last year, it's actually in a Lotus Sunbeam pro stock and is now hitting 175mph in about 8 seconds. It's running with 45 psi boost from a T5 turbo and running to 9500 rpm. Power is estimated at 750-800 hp.

It is amazing what the esprit can do. The biggest obstacle is to overcome the critics.......

too bad it isnt using the lotus v8 engine.

I wonder what sort of price tag is associated with that. The cost of two 350 sports? Perhaps more?
