Removing rear 1/4 trim

Is there any trick on removing the rear 1/4 trim next to the engine bay sidewall on a S3 turbo? The air vent tube and the gas shocks gets in the way and I don't know if force is the only way out.....
How do you normally do it?

I removed mine the other day on my 86 s3 and it was a real pig to do even without the turbo! i had the thing almost bent in two trying to get it back in...it is possible just frustrating.....not sure on the Turbo version..sorry
