I have a 96 S4S and unfortunately the OZ rims are looking rather tatty. I'm exploring the possibility of getting them refurbished but then I spotted a set of OZ Superleggera III wheels and they look fantastic.

But the front wheels on the existing OZ rims are 17 inch and OZ only make the Superleggera III in 18 or above.

My question is -- would 18 ich rims on the front of the S4S be bad for the handling and/or would they simply not fit?

Any one else out there had experience of fitting larger rims on the esprit?

They will more than likely rub a little on a lock to lock turn.

Dindo (d didit) has 18" fronts and 19" rears on his S4.

Also, Andy Wheeler (Azzkicker) has big HRE's on his car.

As rob mentioned both me and Dindo have HRE 18's and 19's on our cars.

THey are awesome. You'll love them if you decide to go that route.

Dindo (Ddidit) is the guy to talk to when it comes to aftermarket rims for these cars. He is the guru when it comes to the back spacings and stuff to make the big rims sit just right on the Esprit.

Dont forget if you want you can always go with a newer V8 rim if you like.

Andy,

Forgot to ask, with the damage to your front clip and wheelwells, we're your HREs untouched?

Mike the rims were untouched.

Well the front passenger has the smallest scratches but its being sent over to wheel works to get buffed should turn out fine.

I am still driving the car actually until it goes into the shop. Still putting the break in miles on the motor LOL.
