Hi everyone, wondering how to tighten up the clutch cable, and what tools are required, anyone know?

Clutch should be hydraulic on an '85.

Try bleeding it.

If the hose is red and made of plastic, then put a braided stainless hose on your shopping list.

Do a search on this forum as it is a common proble area and most, myself included, regard this modification as essential.

The only adjustment is at the slave cyl end on the right side of the transmission. Most likey as stated before air in the lines or red hose syndrome.

Branden,

You have a hydraulic clutch. It's pretty standard to bleed it. It helps to have a power bleeder such as an EZbleed or such. These are not very expensive and a good tool to have. How many miles on your car? What is it's general shape? What kind of history do you have? How far do you want to go in getting it in top form? Your answers will go a long way to helping us tailor a response to your questions. Happy Motoring! Jim '85TE
