Broken odometer?
Discussion
I think I broke my odometer :/
I was trying to reset the counter via the knob. It all turned, but then the odometer stoped keeping milage count?? if I turn the knob on the gague, it actually changes the number on the odometer!!!
What did I do!? Is there a quick way to fix this, or is it removal time?

Talk to these people for an electronic solution:

I saw them in Sturgis and they said they could do make a speedo/odometer for just about anything (except, of course, my '86 FLHT.) An Esprit using a basically standard round display would be no problem.

You would think that you could attach a vehicle speed sensor to one of the hubs and use that to reead speed and distance. The 88's have the Citroen box, if you had a Renault box I would just tell you to use the VDO that is in the V8 as that one is electronic. Others will have to help on this one. I have seen a S1/S2 with a totally digital readout so it can be done.

The Dakota Digital people say they can read _any_ pulse at any rate. They also sell an adapter that you screw on the end of your speedo cable that generates a pulse. You calibrate their speedo's by clicking a button when you drive past a mile marker, then clicking again at the next mile marker. Looks like they also give you 1/4 mile times and 0-60 times. Pretty slick.
