Anyone know what car they were off origionally? I think I'm going to replace mine. I got the "Green Stuff" pads and I'd like to replace the rotors at the same time.

Thanks,

Mark

Hi I bought EBC TurboGroove Front Discs for Lotus Esprit the no. GD323 £59 and Green staff pads last month. It fit fine for my Esprit Turbo 88 (carb.).
I think you can find some more information in Espirt fact file ( I think TOYOTA car ).

Hi,

Why replace the rotors? Why not just have them turned? There is a minimum thickness of 11.4mm (0.45") required for them to be serviceable, but unless they are worn more than this, using them will be fine. Exotic dosks are avalable, but not worth the money unless you do extensive modification to duct them, they simply will not yield better results.. Too large a disk can create a heat trap significantly reducing the brakes' effectiveness. Happy Motoring! Jim'85TE

I'm going to get them turned I think. Just figured that it might be a good idea to get new ones but I find that I can get them turned for about $10 so I'll just do that and see how they go from there. I can always replace them later if I need to.

Hi Calvin,

Where do the front break rotors come from for a 95 S4. I want cross drilled and all but it doesn't really matter. Mine have a slight warp that is bothersome at times.

Yours are Brembo's on the 94 so I would contact Brembo. I think they are at www.Brembo.com They have cross drilled rotors for many cars. I could not find them for mine as they only had solid ones for the SE at Brembo.

Hey Az,
You know there are some Brembo fronts on eBay right now with no bids, $75 starting price. Otherwise, cyberauto.com would be the way I would go. They have sponsered the Toyota Mods mailing list for years and are good to deal with. Best to call them though, rather than eMail.

Should be noted that the Brembo rotors are stock replacements for the Toyota equiped Esprit's only.

They are quite reasonable for the pair at 75.

Plated, drilled, or slotted KVR's is much more than that.

Just an update: took my rotors in to be turned and the place that I took it to pointed out several "hot spots" so I decided to buy new, and am happy I did. To have the rotors turned would have been $10 each, the new ones cost........ $20 each! Fit and work perfectley and my "wobble" has gone altogether now! (I did repack the bearings at the same time so that could have been something to do with it).

For that kind of price I'll be getting new rotors every time I change the pads. What's the point of having them turned when you can have new for $10 more!

I got them from BAP Import parts here in Scottsdale, for an 85 Celica GTS.
