I heard that the 86 Esprit uses rear brake pads for an 85 Celica, but upon buying some I found that they don't fit at all. What kind of brake pads does my car use? Or did the guy at the auto parts store give me the wrong ones.

Front brakes are from the Toyota Celica, the rears are bendix on the outboard (Stevens), not sure if yours are inboard brakes (Giugiaro).
Call PNM, they do rear pad at a reasonable price. Check out the parts suppliers on LEW for more place to get some pads.
