Need help from the UK guys finding a part

Hello all,
After having my Tubi exhaust installed I find that I need a Euro spec part. The Tubi exhaust has the tail pipe exit on the left hand side (US drivers side), which is different than the stock configuration of the right side. So the black plastic trim piece under the rear bumper had to be removed for the exhaust to be fitted. I have only been able to find a new Euro spec piece at about $500. Now I know and expect to pay higher prices for Lotus parts, but that is a bit much. Does anyone know of a wrecked Esprit that I may be able to purchase this part from? Or any recommendation on a place likly to have a used one of these? If I can't locate one, I will probably fabricate a piece similar to the V8 center exit exhaust setup, but I would prefer the stock piece.

Try searching the parts database at www.race-speed.com/mall/LotusOE.htm - they sell original Lotus parts but the price may be more bearable.

SJ Sports Cars sell one for £98,00 + VAT either for Right Hand Exhaust out or a shorter V8 Version

Actually thinking about this again its the opposite to my problem, The GT3 comes out on the left but beacause there is no left exit exhausts i need to replace my tail with a right exit or the V8 if i upgrade to twin exhaust. If you have no luck maybe i can send u mine

Thanks for all the great info. I have just emailed them all to see what is available. Tony, apparantly the Tubi systems are left hand exit, as that is how mine came and it was not specifically requested that way. Anyway, if you need the one I have, maybe we can make a trade?

I was planning a sports exhaust, but no standard pieces exist for the GT3. Blueflame in Lancashire will build one on the car (for £350) to get around this, and there is a video of one of theirs on a GT3 on Espritworld. Even so, I would like an S4 right exit aerofoil to eliminate the need for a "return pass" pipe, which is a bit of a waste of steel in my opinion.

Just an FYI for you folks, the Flowmaster 80 series (for a Camero) cross-flow duel outlet fits our car (with a little modification). I had it done to my car and there is a noticeable performance improvement, plus it sounds great.

The best thing about it is that the muffler only cost $99 new!
