Any suggestions on repainting the brake calipers on the V8 while maintaining the silver AP Racing lettering. I would like to do it on the car over the winter.

Dan, got a picture?
The car is yellow too. Trying to decide on caliper color. I dont suppose there is a way of sanding down the painted caliper with a sanding block to expose the metal finish lettering?

Check out my car at:

Lots of changes like the new front spoiler etc.

I guess you could sand down to the metal I am just going to paint them red with white letters if I don’t do AP’s

Just a thought but have you considered using paint remover instead of sanding ?

Just a thought, if you painted a caliper that was not designed to be painted, would this act like a insulating blanket thus preventing the Caliper disappating the heat so well?

Isn't this why calipers which are painted have extra raised areas or fins to help with heat dispersal.
