I person I know has a set of service and parts manuals for an 88-92 model years.

He no longer has an Esprit. The service manual and parts list were a twin of my set that were given to us as a gift from a friend from Austraila a few years ago when we both bought our cars.

I have been told by Stephan the owner of a set of manuals, since these manuals were a gift to us that he would not feel right selling them on ebay.

So for the price of shipping a person may have a set of these manuals. We only request one thing. These manuals came from a very good hands on mechanic, Stephan also is very good with cars, we would like these manuals to go to someone who will use them and not just sit on a shelf most of the time. This message will go out to few sites and Stephan will decide who gets the manuals. Also these manuals are very heavy and are located in California.

So if you are interested and feel you deserve these manuals email me and write why you deserve them.

I'll be very interesting in taking care of them.

I really should have a copy, with all the email's I get through the site. I try to help esprit owners everyday and the manual would be used. Also I carry out a bit of work on my Esprit which appears on the site for the interest of other owners.

They won't be going to waste at Lotus Esprit World

Do you have the ABS and Air Bag suppliments? If so, could I borrow them for a couple days? I'll gladly send them on to whoever winds up with them. These two parts are all that I am missing from a complete set for the 88-92.

Thank you for the dozen or so emails and communications asking for service notes and parts list.

We have selected a person to receive the Service notes and Parts list.

After carefull consideration we have selected Tim Engel's request for the books. At present he does not own an S body car, but his advice on a variety of Lotus subjects has been correct and numerous on various Lotus lists. His advice is right on the money, and technically correct.

I wrongly assumed he already had a set of books for the Stevens body cars with his extensive knowledge he had shown of the S body cars. In fact he knows a lot of many types of Lotus cars. Even the best of us needs to refer to the books now and then, the manuals coupled with his experience in Lotus repairs and maintenence means these books in his hands has a excellent possibility that can help many owners now and in the future rather than just one owner.

So to help assist Tim continue all the good work he has been doing, the sound advice he offers, and helping numerous people. It is Stephens wish to give the items to someone who will use it the most and further the hobby of Lotus ownership.

It was not Stephens choice to sell his 88, but due to an unforseen and unexpected dissolution of a long term relationship, he was forced to sell his hobby cars and to relocate to a new home.

He thought that one day he could once again aquire an Esprit and in this hope kept the books for a couple of years. Due to a reality check it is now apparent to him that Lotus ownership is far into the future and the books do no good just sitting on his shelf.

He wished to give back to the Lotus community for the warm welcome he received in the early days of the Turbo Esprit List. No longer a list member, he still remebers fondly of the time when an indiviual on the list gave these manuals to the both of us for the cost of postage so we could take care of our cars.

Kato of Lotus Esprit World was a very close second to receive the service notes and parts list for much of the same reasons, to help as many owners as possible and to put them to good use. Unfortunately we have only one set to give away.

The Lotus owners on the list and forums are some of best people I have ever met.
