S300 Speedo for SE?
Discussion
Due to the limited slip diff on the Sport300 gearbox, there is no mechanical cable drive for the speedo. The speedo is electronic and is driven by pin J2-B8 from the ECM. The ECM gets its speed information from the VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) which is located on the right rear hub. This is the same for all 95MY and newer cars too. None of them use mechanical speedos since then.

Interesting, my speedo is kaputt and is a mechanical one so can I put an electronic one in and connect it up to my ecu?
Mine is a 94 S4

Yes. Contact Mark Wiens at mark3@voicecrystal.com he just did the same thing to his car this week. He even was creative enough to use the mechanical speedo cable itself as the wire to carry the signal to the dash, thus avoiding the need to route a new wire over to the gauge.
Cheers.
