PEDALS SITUATION!!! What can be done

Ok, I am 6'3" and I fit very well into the Lotus (I used to daily drive in Sparco Evo2's so I'm used to gettting in and out with some effort). However I have size 14-15 shoes and my feet take up two pedals. That is the ONLY thing really stopping me from buying the car. Is there anyways to space out the pedals somehow and create more foot/leg room? Any suggestions would help alot. thanks

Buy racing shoes, or drive barefoot. I take my shoes off to drive...I got used to it really fast, and I really like the feel.

I drive in racing shoes does the job great ( i only look a twat when filling up at a petrol station )

Some one had a V8 with a enlarged footwell and better space pedals, look on LEW.

Cripes 14-15 shoe size, that is huge! The mind boggles I will leave that one there I think.

If you don't want to modify your pedals, wear bare feet as already suggested or socks if its too cold and leave your shoes in the passenger side ready to slip on when you get out. There are plenty of slim line street shoes that will also do the job, but I am thinking you need every mm you can get. Quite often we go somewhere rather flash and when I am driving I take take the high heeled stilettos and put them on just before I step out of the car and looks the business.
But don't you do that with the high heels!

This link lists adjustable pedals. I've never tried so this isn't an endorsement but for your situation they might do the trick.

Before driving barefoot check the local laws. Here in the States some jurisdictions prohibit driving barefoot.

Also, it isn't the safest thing to do. In the event of an accident, shoes will provide some protection during and after the accident. Trying to run through broken glass to get away from a fire wouldn't be a fun experience.

wow, thats PERFECT, now I can move the clutch pedal all the way to the left and move the brake pedal over slightly and push the gas all the way to the right. That seems like that should do the trick. Has anyone actually tried these pedals though?

The Esprit I happened to sit in was a 99 and its pedals were SOO narrow, like 1 inch or something, i thought that was stock but maybe I was wrong. Maybe these pedals plus narrower shows will do the trick. thanks guys.
